Nikos Arvanitis Happy Encounter Audio play, duration: 22’ 53‘‘ and 3d printed sculptural object, pla, wood, enamel paint, 17x17x117cm.    2018 "Happy Encounter" is based on the dystopian science fiction story "Escape from Spiderhead" by American author George Saunders. The plot is set in an unspecified time and place. The characters are subjected to debilitating and violent psychotropic experiments under the absolute control of the authorities. Emotions, the body, self-determination, and freedom are concepts that are tested by the characters' actions.  Nikos Arvanitis enlists the format of the radio drama, designs the soundscape and plays himself all the characters of the play as "heteronyms" of the same person, attempting to explore the possibilities of the plot.
