Eclipse

Installation, wood, light spot, discoball, paint, pencil, telescope, 2013

The artwork constitutes a representation of the natural phenomenon of eclipse. The spectator is summoned as another viewer to explore this substitute through a telescope and discover the structure’s  hidden elements. The technique, which was the deciphering means of the natural phenomenon, becomes now its substitution mechanism as well. The use of such a technical device for the observation of the artificial reenactment of a natural process, transfers the spectator’s way  and place of viewing to a whole new constructed state. The tool of approaching the macroscale is integrated via this work into the microscale of the exhibition venue.
